Christian Education Ministry “Community Day Event”

Mount Moriah Baptist Church (“MMBC”) was founded in 1885. On Sunday, February 2, 1958, the members processed in a 200-car
motorcade to its fifth house of worship, located on the corner of 17th
and East Capitol Street NE. MMBC has been a beacon of light on the
corner of 17th and East Capital ever since. Since it opened its doors in
1885, MMBC has been a warm, loving church family that embraces
everyone with love, just as Jesus does.
Our Annual Community Day is a day that the church comes
together with community partners to provide our community members,
of Ward 6 and Ward 7, with a day of fellowship, music, health
education, financial resources, food distribution and fun. Our goal is
to bring hope to our community and build community partnerships.
The event is free to the public. The activities are geared for
reaching community members of all ages. We invite our neighbors and
community partners in Ward 6 and Ward 7 to come out and partake in
this day of celebration and hope.
PROPOSED DATE AND TIME: September 16, 2023, from 10am to
2pm.
